My first “Andrew” music in years releases today.

I have livid a full life these 41 years. 

I have community upon community — more people who watch out for me, care for me, love on me, and who I hopefully watch out and care for and love on than I would’ve ever thought plausible (or necessary!) when I was growing up in a small Texas town. But I also am not married, have no children, and my nuclear family is a household of one. 

I have received honors and marked milestones I didn’t even think to dream up. And I have lived regrets, had to make up beds I never dreamed I would lie in. 

I have felt at home across the world. Yet I have struggled to feel I belong where I live. 

But music. On either side of life, in great abundance, or out of great need, I reach down in my pocket and there’s another song waiting to be written. A melody I’ve never heard. A lyric I’ve never sung. Waiting to move me … into new communities, or deeper into the ones I know. Waiting to feather bed my regrets with un-restrained hope. Setting a table for me to be at home, to be at peace … to be with God. 

He is my home. And music is the place where I always find Him. 

This first two singles, “Take My Cup” and “For Love (feat. Skye Peterson) from my new album, coming in February, is an open door into my home. Come on in.
